VHS Community Moderator

We’re looking for a Community Moderator who will work under the Community Manager for our brand new multiplayer 4v1 game, VHS. In this role, you will support our VHS Community Team in fostering a healthy community and ensuring our fans are informed, connected and heard. You’ll ensure every question is answered, key content is created, and our players know we’re always there for them. 

Candidates should be passionate about online multiplayer experiences with an understanding of the importance of communities throughout a game’s lifecycle. You are aware of platforms and trends including Steam, Discord, and Twitter and always looking for ways to work closely with our growing fanbase. 



  • Act as moderator for growing online communities, welcoming new members and fostering group discussion
  • Monitor online community discussions, notify internal teams to get appropriate responses, follow-up to ensure at least 95% response rate.
  • Engage with community members on a daily basis; provide support and encouragement
  • Solicit player feedback on community experience; work continuously to improve community spirit and engagement
  • Enforce community best practices; embody positive community values
  • Coordinate the long term content plan with the Community Team
  • Identify positive content creators and streaming partners and recruit ambassadors


  • Experience in a similar position or content creation position
  • Proven ability to deliver brand message and content– written and spoken
  • Driven to foster credible & trusting relationships within a growing community 
  • Positive energy and professionalism when addressing a passionate audience
  • Strong knowledge & application of social media & gaming platforms
  • Passionate about helping people and building strong communities; self-motivated
  • Able to self-manage and multi-task; works well independently and with a team
  • Flexible schedule; open to weekend work
  • Comfortable handling confidential/sensitive information
  • A passion for multiplayer community-focused games
  • Fluent in English, both written & spoken
  • Based in Lower Mainland BC, Canada


  • Experience in community management and social media marketing
  • Knowledge and passion for 80s movies
  • Experience with content creation
